Brewin Design Office designed SoNoMa by SingleThread as a contemporary dining destination rooted in the traditions of Kyoto. Inspired by the intimacy and craftsmanship of historic ochaya, the restaurant balances refined materiality, bespoke detailing and carefully choreographed guest experiences to create an atmosphere that is both distinctly local and internationally resonant.
Located within Capella Kyoto, SoNoMa by SingleThread is a collaboration between the celebrated three-Michelin-starred restaurant from Healdsburg, California and the cultural traditions of Kyoto.
